Four of us handle most of the Glendale work, with Wes running point on every estimate. Wes Okafor, Owner
I started this operation in 2016 after six years as a lead installer for a company that blew fiberglass over unsealed attic floors and called it a day. That still bothers me. Now I run every estimate myself, walk every attic, and write the scope before anyone touches a tool. I’m BPI Building Analyst certified, which means I can run the blower-door test and interpret what the number actually tells us about your envelope. I live in La Cañada Flintridge with my wife and two kids, and I keep a photo on my phone of the worst rodent-damaged ductwork I’ve ever seen, taken in a Glenoaks Canyon attic in 2019. I show it to homeowners who are on the fence about attic cleaning. It works.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2019 and runs the crew on every job that involves spray foam or crawl space encapsulation. He’s certified in low-pressure SPF application through the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance, and he’s the one who spots the things other crews miss: a disconnected bathroom vent dumping moisture into a La Crescenta attic, or a chimney chase in Adams Hill that was never properly blocked. Off the job, Marcus restores vintage motorcycles and brings the same patience to both. He once spent three days chasing a single air leak in a Montrose craftsman because the blower-door number wouldn’t drop. Found it in a plumbing stack boot that had rotted through. The homeowner’s PG&E bill dropped 23% the next quarter.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena handles our blown-in and batt installations, and she’s faster with a staple gun and proper depth gauge than anyone I’ve hired. She came to us from commercial HVAC in 2020 and brought a rigor about R-value consistency that changed how we check our work. Every bag count, every square foot, every depth measurement gets logged. She’s also our go-to for radiant barrier installation in the hotter Glendale foothills, where roof deck temperatures can hit 160 degrees and the foil placement has to be exact to matter. He joined us in 2022 after managing dispatch for a plumbing outfit that grew too fast and forgot how to talk to customers. Danny knows every Glendale neighborhood’s parking situation, which matters when we’re hauling a blower-door fan up a narrow Chevy Chase Canyon driveway, and he texts you when the technician is en route with a name and photo. He also flags the jobs that need extra time, like the 1920s Spanish revivals in Verdugo Woodlands with zero access hatches. Danny’s detail is that he collects vintage Glendale postcards and can tell you which bungalow court you’re probably living in based on your cross streets.
Javier M., Apprentice Installer
Javier started with us in 2024 after completing the insulation technician program at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. He’s still building his hours for BPI certification, so he works every job with either Marcus or Elena, and he’s not allowed to run a spray foam rig solo yet. What he lacks in years he makes up for in thoroughness. He measures twice, photographs everything, and asks the questions that remind the rest of us not to get sloppy. Javier grew up in a 1940s Glendale duplex with no insulation in the walls, and he says his motivation is that he never wants another kid to sleep in a bedroom that cold. He plays goalkeeper in a local adult league and has the bruises to prove it.
